Hey lovelies!
My sweet little girl turned two this year and I find myself literally asking “How did that happen so fast?!”. I remember being told a long time ago that you don’t realize how fast time flies until you have kids. All I can say is they were SO right! This last year flew by! I felt like it was just yesterday I was planning my daughter’s 1st birthday (mermaid party). Now I had to plan her 2nd. Omgoodness, where do I start? I figured being that she’s a summer baby, I wanted a summer party theme and for some reason, fruit came to mind. Maybe because I was obsessed with watermelon throughout my whole pregnancy with her??? I dunno! But I started looking up ideas on google and pinterest and came across the Two-tti Fruitti birthday party theme. I thought it was such a great idea and perfect for a summer birthday party.
So I’m sharing with you guys some photos of the party and my spin on the Two-tti Fruitti theme. I’ve also listed where I got everything from just incase you are interested in throwing your little one a Two-tti Fruitti party too! 😉
Mila’s Two-tti Fruitti Birthday Party
Decor
A little shot of the fun fruit themed table decor. The mini faux fruit are from Amazon.
I did an adorable Chiquita Banana themed photoshoot with my little birthday girl a few days before the party so I could print & frame the photos to add to the decor. I loved how they came out and added that sweet personal touch to the overall look of the party. These cute fruit balloons are from Party City.
I made these really cute fruit themed “MILA” letters myself. Just bought plain letters from Michaels and then painted each one to match a fruit (watermelon, pineapple, kiwi, and strawberry). The darling Happy Birthday Banner was from Etsy.
When pinteresting and googling a bunch of ideas, I kept seeing Pineapple flower arrangements. Super cute, but I thought that fit more of a “Pineapple and Flamingos” theme. So I used watermelons instead and think they are just the sweetest arrangements and are so unique!
The Sweets
Shout out to the talented Brees Cakes for creating this picture perfect and amazingly delicious Two-tti Fruitti Birthday Cake!
I made this quick, easy, and super yummy naked cake as Mila’s little smash cake (stay tuned for my post on how to make a naked cake).
These tasty yellow cake Nutella filled cupcakes were easy to make as well. I found these incredibly adorable cupcake toppers from Etsy.
I purchased these cookies on Etsy too, but as you can see from the broken “2”, shipping cookies probably isn’t the best idea. But they were really delicious and matched the decor perfectly!
Party Favors
Downloaded these super sweet strawberry thank you labels for the fruit candy party favors from Etsy, as well.
For food, we made it really easy by hiring a Taco Guy. Now, I know what you’re thinking…how does that go with the Two-tti Fruitti theme? Well, it doesn’t. But being that I was 9 months pregnant with my second baby we took help where we could. If I had had the time (and lets be honest, the energy) I would’ve made pulled pork sandwiches with coleslaw and potato salad (I dunno, that just screams summer to me). But I say make or cater whatever sounds yummy to you! No judgement here. 😉
If you are throwing your little one a Two-tti Fruitti party, I hope you found this post super helpful! If you want a tutorial of how I created the Mila letters or the watermelon flower arrangement, please leave a comment below.
